Installation Checklist

Preparation Checklist for Installation

Before we arrive for installation, please ensure that any existing wall coverings, such as tile, have been completely removed, and the surface is free of caulk, adhesive, or debris. Proper cleaning of the walls is your responsibility to ensure a smooth installation process.

Drain Requirements

All drains should be installed, level, and securely fastened to the subfloor before our installation date. For cultured marble or granite shower floors, a round 3-part drain is necessary. If reusing an existing drain, verify that the bolts are intact by removing and inspecting them. Often, old bolts may break during removal. If there is any doubt, or if you notice rust, it’s advisable to replace the drain.

Wall Preparation

The walls must be solid and made of moisture-resistant sheetrock. We cannot install over damaged or cracked wall surfaces.

Custom Placement

We will work with you in the design and measuring stage to determine placement of such things as shower shelves, chairs, etc. Any custom placements will be noted and followed during the installation.

Additional Structural Support

If additional structural support is needed to support the tub or shower, our team will let you know and show you how you can properly install additional supports to make your tub or shower sufficiently strong and durable.
