Bath Tub and Shower Surrounds

A Beautiful Alternative to Tile or Stone

Have you ever climbed into a bath tub or shower and noticed discoloration or even mold in the grout lines? This is a fairly common sight when a bath tub or a shower surround is made of tile or stone. The reason that you see this in a typical tub or shower surround is because:

  • grout lines are porous and attract dirt and mold in wet environments.
  • This is true even if grout lines are sealed.

The constant wet environment of a bathroom, and the use of cleaning chemicals, cause the grout sealants to break down over time. A typical shower with tile should be resealed 2 - 3 times per year, which is a lot of work!

At Sand and Swirl, we believe that a tub or shower surround should be beautiful and easy to maintain. That is why we recommend installing a cultured marble, TruStone, Cultured Granite, or even Sand Stone tub or shower surround.

It's so easy to keep it Clean!

Many home owners comment on how simple it is to keep their cultured marble clean! That's because of our non-porous, 100% grout free wall surface. The steps to keep your bath tub or shower surround looking like brand new are as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. 1
Wash with Liquid Soap. Use a gentle mild soap with a wash cloth to wipe down the walls and floors of the shower
  2. 2
Rinse with Water. Rinse the soap off with water. A hand-held shower nozzle makes this step even easier.
  3. 3
Squeegee the surface dry. Use a squeegee to dry off all of the walls and floor of your shower and that's it!

Less than 10 minutes per day will keep your walk in shower looking as beautiful as the day it was installed.
